

I'd only bother trying to get your mediums into larges with regular pixie dust. The materials often cost more than buying a large version outright and that's just to make a small. You never need to bother crafting a small rune itself from raw materials. Generally, you don't wanna ever make them from scratch unless making ONE small rune will allow you to combine up to a giant with your existing inventory. Making runes from scratch and combining all the way from small up to giant is a lot more expensive than buying 2 large and combining them to giant.
